Adventurers (ages 3-4)
Our three-year-olds are called the Adventurers (3’s Plus). The ratio of children to teachers is 10:1. In this room the children experience a structured preschool program from 8:30-11:00 each day of the week. The curriculum provides students with the opportunity to grow in the areas of spiritual, social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. The Voyages Curriculum is used each day for our “Jesus Time” which revolves around a different Bible story each week. Many units are taught which allow the children to learn about colors, shapes, early literacy and math concepts and much more. The afternoons in the Adventurers’ room are less structured yet still follow a set routine. Play is still a critical aspect of a child’s growth and development because it is a major avenue for gaining understanding of our world. Through free choice play indoors and outdoor play in our playground the children learn how to work and play well with others.
