Trinity Lutheran Preschool Curriculum

The curriculum at Trinity is focused on helping students grow in their love and knowledge of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The curriculum varies at different ages as appropriate. We believe it is important to focus on the spiritual, cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of each child. State standards are followed as a minimum standard for Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Technology and field trips are utilized to facilitate and expand the curriculum. A curriculum summary trifold brochure is available for each grade level from PS – 8th Grade. Our complete curriculum can be reviewed in the office upon request.

Infants and Toddlers (Birth – 2 year olds)

Children at this age are nurtured in their development through a loving, trusting environment. Children will experience music, movement, fingerplays, basic Bible stories, projects, games, and many other social and tactile experiences to stimulate their growth and development. Play in a structured environment is critical at this phase of a child’s development.

Preschool-aged Children (3 – 5 year olds)

Play is still a critical aspect of a child’s growth and development because it is a major avenue for gaining understanding of the world. The curriculum provides students with the opportunity to learn about letters, numbers, early literacy concepts, colors, shapes, and a variety of other necessary information for success in Kindergarten and beyond. All children learn and develop at a different pace, but opportunities are provided for all students to learn the curriculum goals.
