First Senior High Youth Group of the Year
On August 10th at 6 PM the Senior High will have their first youth group meeting at the Solid Rock Café. We will be discussing the upcoming year and what events we want to be doing over the course of the year. We will also be picking a name for the group. If you have any ideas about the name bring them along with you to youth group. We will have pizza and soda and we will be done around 8 PM-ish. Junior High Trip to the DUNES!!!
Are you ready to climb a giant mound of sand, meet new youth, challenge another youth group to games, and learn about Jesus? Well the opportunity is upon you Junior Highers!! On August 22nd the Junior High will be taking a trip to the Warren Dunes and will meet up with the confirmation class from Immanuel, Crystal Lake, IL and then come back to the church for a lock-in. We will be meeting at the church at 10 AM and leaving for the Dunes at 10:30. We will not eat at the dunes together but there is a concessions area so bring a few bucks for lunch or a snack. We will play volleyball, football, frisbee, swim, hike, and have fun. We will head back to the church at 4 PM for the overnight lock-in filled with competition, devotions, food and fun. We will eat dinner when we get back and start the overnight festivities with the Immanuel youth group. We will be finishing the lock-in on Saturday morning at 12:30 PM. Senior High Bible Study
Here we go Senior High, school is rolling around and that means Sunday School is back on the calendar!! We are going to start September 14th and will meet at the Solid Rock Café at 9:15 every Sunday. Be prepared to laugh, have fellowship, learn about our savior, and connect to yourself and others during this time. Study starts at 9:15 AM and goes until 10:15AM.
Bible study is an important way of coming together with other Christians. God wants us to build not only a personal relationship with him but to connect to others around us and grow in our support system of faith. This is a great way to make friends and become involved in everything that is going on.
This is a bible study that all high school guys and gals are invited to that will be led by Josh. I would love to see you Sunday morning and hope everyone can make it!
